The Anthropic Principle, The Fine Tuning Of The Universe.

Our planet is exactly fine-tuned for the existence of man. There are thousands of parameters and ratios which are on a knife edge. This fine tuning is so critical that it simply could not have happened by chance.

Examples of parameters include:

- The temperature.

- The magnetic field.

- The partial pressure of all gases.

- The rotation period of the Earth.

- The gravitational forces in the Universe.

- The water vapour saturation.

- The availability of natural resources.

An example of the Anthropic Principle.

- If this planet was 5% closer to the Sun, the water of the Earth would evaporate.

- If this planet was 1% further away all the oceans on this planet would freeze.

Secular scientists and the Anthropic Principle

Secular scientists call the finely tuned parameters on Planet Earth "The Anthropic Principle". By this, it is implied that the fine-tuning of parameters required to support Life on Planet Earth are so highly correlated, accurate, and interdependent that it is almost as if an external designer had created the exact conditions for life on Planet Earth.

There is a very simple answer to the Anthropic Principle. An external designer did design and create everything! His name is Jesus Christ!

The Biblical Creation World View

The Bible, on the other hand, teaches that the whole Universe, the Sun, the planets, the stars, and the Solar Systems, were all created by Jesus Christ.

The Bible opens with these majestic words: "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth," Genesis 1:1.

The Bible teaches that Planet Earth, the Moon, the land, the seas, the vegetation, all life, the animals, the birds, the fishes, and mankind were all:

1. Created by Jesus Christ.
2. Created only 6,000 years ago, approximately.

In the King James Version of the Bible, the word "Creation" appears 6 times. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ created everything. The Bible speaks unequivocally about Creation, and that Jesus Christ Himself is the Creator. Here are a few selected passages:

Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth." 

John 1:1-4: "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."

Colossians 1:15-17: "He (Jesus Christ) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all Creation. For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist."

The Universe

The word "Universe" literally means, "One spoken word". The Bible clearly teaches throughout Genesis that God spoke, and it was so.

The Genesis Account Of Creation - The First Day.

Genesis 1:1, 2: "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. The Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters".

In the beginning, God created the matter of the Heavens and the Earth. Nobody was there, so we do not know exactly what happened! But we do know that the Holy Spirit moved over the waters.

We should also notice that the Earth was NOT a hot molten mass, as taught by Evolutionists. According to the Bible, the Earth was originally formed out of water.

The Creation of Light and Time on the First Day of Creation

Genesis 1:3-5 states: Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day".

So God created light, which we now know consists of photons moving in a wave form.

Albert Einstein is famous for his Relativity Equation:
E=mc2

This equation shows a relationship between:

E= Energy
m =Mass
c = Speed of Light (Time)

When God said, "Let there be light", He also created time. Time is the Fourth Dimension. God created it, and lives outside it.

- That is why Jesus Christ can prophesy the future with 100% accuracy.

- This is also how Jesus Christ, after the Resurrection, appeared in the Upper Room, on the Road to Emmaus, and by the Sea of Galilee. He was moving outside our Fourth Dimension, which we know as time.

Jesus Christ Created Everything.

The Creation of the Heavens and Earth

The Bible begins with the majestic words: "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth", Genesis 1:1. The Hebrew word for "God" used here is "Elohiym." The word is plural, and literally means "Gods." Therefore Gods (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) created the Heavens and the Earth.

The Creation of Man

Genesis 1:26-27: "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them".

The 6,000 year-old date of the Universe

We believe that the clear teaching of the Bible, specifically Genesis Chapter 1 and Luke Chapter 3, teaches that:

* The whole Universe was created on Day One of the Six days of Creation (Genesis 1:1-5).

* The Hebrew words for "dusk" and "dawn" used in Genesis 1 are clearly referring to 24 hour periods of time, not millions of years (see below).

* Adam was created on Day Six of the Six Days of Creation (Genesis 1:27).

* Adam was "the son of God," not the son of a monkey (Luke 3:38).

* Jesus Christ was born 77 generations after Adam, which is a period of approximately 4,000 years (Luke 3:23-38).

* Jesus Christ was born approximately 2,000 years ago.

* Therefore Adam was born approximately 6,000 years ago.

* Adam was born at the beginning of the Creation, according to Jesus Christ in Mark 10:6 and Matthew 19:4.

* The whole Universe was therefore also created approximately 6,000 years ago.

* This reasoning is actually very simple and straight forward, and is discussed in detail in the section The Universe Is Only 6,000 Years Old

If this 6,000 year-old date of the Origins of the Universe is completely unacceptable to you, it is probably because:

* You have not been exposed to full Biblical teaching before, but have only been exposed to teaching on Evolution.

* You have been exposed to other Creation theories that try to conform to Evolution theories. See under The Bible Is In Direct Conflict With Evolution.

* You have decided that Carbon Dating has "proved" that the Universe is billions of years old. This is also discussed under CARBON DATING. 

We invite you to study this subject with an open mind. Many people find this almost impossible. This may be because previous exposure to teaching on Evolution that has subconsciously prejudiced their thinking.
